IED detected in Manipur, detonated safely

Security forces on Thursdaydetected an improvised explosive device (IED) while patrollingat Khongampat area in Imphal East district, officials said
Experts of the bomb squad cordoned off the area anddetonated the IED at a safe place, they said
"The IED which weighed around 1 kg was discoveredaround 10.30 am," an official added.
