Laborers registered with Building Construction Board would

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has announced that laborers registered with the state Building Construction Board would get free clothes before the 'Diwali'. Launching the 'Shram Shakti Yojana' from Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Wednesday, Das said male laborers would get shirt and trousers while women would be given saris before 'Diwali' (festival of lights), according to an official release.

Camps were started in all blocks and towns on Wednesday to enable laborers to register their names with the Building Construction Board. The registration process will continue till October 2. A sum of Rs 150 crore fund has been earmarked for the laborers' welfare connected with the Building Construction Board, the release added.
