NCB officials seize 30 kg drugs

Narcotics Control Bureau officials have recovered around 30 kg of drugs, including methamphetamine, meant to be 'trafficked' to South East Asian countries and arrested a 54-year-old man here in this connection. The action was taken on Wednesday based on a tip.

According to a release from NCB zonal director A Bruno on Friday, officials from NCB Chennai seized 25.6 kg of ephedrine, 3.27 kg of methamphetamine, hashish and Alprazolam tablets from the possession of the arrested person, it said. "Initial inquiry suggests that the contraband was meant for trafficking to south east Asian countries," it added..
