Maha: Doctor booked after patient files rape case in Thane

A 48-year-old doctor attached to a well-known hospital in Maharashtra's Thane district has been booked after one of his patients filed a rape complaint, police said on Friday. The patient was under the doctor's treatment for three years during which they entered into a physical relationship, an official said.
"The victim has said the doctor raped her several times, and also married her in a temple without divorcing his first wife. A probe is on. The doctor is untraceable since the case was registered and efforts are on to nab him," he said. The case was registered in Rabodi and then transferred to Vartak Nagar police station here, he added..
