Nigeria elections: Court undertakes stand down in petition against Buhari's victory

Court of Appeal in Abuja is undertaking a 10-minute stand down of proceedings in the sitting that is supposed to hear a petition by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and PDP challenging the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the 2019 presidential election.

Abubakar is challenging the electoral victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23 presidential election at the tribunal.

Meanwhile, Nigeria's army, police and civil defence personnel have also assembled near the Court of Appeal in Abuja as reported by Channels Television. The premises is now barricaded by security personnel.
