LJP organises meet to pay tributes to Vajpayee

Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was recognized for his stature and not merely the posts he occupied in his long political life, Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan said today.

Speaking at a condolence meeting organized by his party, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Paswan said a leader like Vajpayee is born once in an era and his death is a loss that can never be made up for.

The BJP-ally said hundreds of LJP workers, including MPs Chirag Paswan and Ramchandra Paswan, attended the meeting in which tributes were paid to Vajpayee.

The former prime minister died at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi on August 16 at the age of 93, following a prolonged illness.
