Train services disrupts on Eastern Railway Sealdah South Section

Train services were disrupted on Eastern Railways Sealdah south section for nearly an hour today owing to an obstruction by a group of people between Sonarpur and Baruipur stations, an ER spokesman said here.

Three pairs of EMU locals were canceled and six other trains were detained owing to the obstruction over non-railway issues, the spokesman said.

The obstruction occurred from 1.55 pm to 2.50 pm and impacted the train services in the SealdahLakshmikantapur, SealdahDiamond Harbour, and SealdahBaruipur sections.

Normal train services were maintained between Sealdah- Canning, SealdahSonarpur and SealdahBudge Budge sections during the obstruction, the spokesman added.
