Two minor boys drowned in a small water body at Pinipar village in Bihar's Nalanda district, police said on Sunday.

The incident occurred when the children had gone to see a fair in a neighboring village on Saturday and stopped to take bath in a pond on their way back home and slipped into deep waters, Chandi police station SHO Mukesh Kumar said. The deceased have been identified as Ashu Kumar (10) and Krish Raj (9).

The bodies, which have been sent for post-mortem examination, were fished out with the help of local divers, he said.
