Founder of popular Shankar IAS Academy commits suicide

D. Shankaran, founder of the popular Shankar IAS Academy, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence here, police said on Friday.
According to police, the 45-year-old Shankaran was found hanging on Thursday night and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. His body was taken to the Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem.
According to police, family dispute is said to be the reason for the suicide.
His academy is said to have turned out hundreds of civil servants and other government officials since 2004 when it opened.
