9-year-old sniffer dog dies in Coimbatore

A nine-year-old sniffer dog, which was instrumental in solving many theft and narcotic cases, died here Thursday, police said.

A Labrador retriever breed, Diana was serving the police team for the last eight years and died due to age-related ailments, they said.

It was buried on the premises of the office of the City Police Commissioner with full police honours, police added.
