The government of Huíla intends to pay more attention and investment to the municipalities further away from the province’s headquarters from 2019, especially Chipindo, Cuvango, Jamba and Chicomba, in order to provide development and attract investors.

The desire was expressed on December 8 in the Bambi commune by Governor Luís Nunes, on the sidelines of inauguration of a six-classroom school that will house 1,600 students, valued at 28,918,966 Kwanzas, under the Program of Combating Poverty for 2017/2018.

He assured that the priority is to increase and improve the delivery in the health sector, education, energy and water, justice, communication, and other social services aimed at improving the living quality of citizens.

He said that in January, work began on the rehabilitation of the road connecting Caconda-Chipindo, with a length of 105 kilometres (Huíla), which is due to be completed by mid-2020, and acknowledged that, after its completion, it could generate more growth and allow the free movement of people and goods.
