Mozambican ambassador to Angola, Maria Helena Taipo visited the National Institute of Petroleum (INP) located in Sumbe, central-west Cuanza Sul province on December 14.

Speaking to the press at the end of the visit, the ambassador said she was due to attend the closing ceremony of the oil and gas course on Saturday. Fourteen Mozambican students also attended the training.

"Mozambique kicked off the prospection of hydrocarbons and that is why those who attended the training run by the INP are providing services in these companies", said the diplomat.

Mozambique and INP will sign an agreement on the sending trainers to Mozambique. More than 40 Mozambican students have benefitted from the training in several fields, such as geology and mining, drilling, electricity and mechanic.
