The Republic of Estonia is willing to co-operate with Angola in the domain of information and communication technologies (ITCs) and also provide its experience in terms of cybernetic protection
The Estonian Prime Minister, Júri Ratas, last Monday evening in Vienna, Austria, had a meeting with the Angolan Vice President, Bornito de Sousa, with whom he reviewed the state of the bilateral relations.
The two officials met in Vienna in the ambit of their participation in the High-Level Africa/Europe Forum on “Digital Co-operation”, set to kick off this Tuesday.
At the end of the meeting, the Secretary of State for External Relations, Tete António, explained that Estonia is available to co-operate with Angola in the digital sector and provide its experience in cybernetic protection.
He disclosed that the European country extends its co-operation availability to other African countries in the digital field. Last year, Estonia signed a multi-lateral co-operation agreement with the African Union, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
Estonia, a Baltic country, is a candidate to occupy a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council in the year 2020.
