The director of a business development firm, Jason Spindler was among those killed in Al-Shabaab-operated terror attack. He was a US citizen based in Kenya due to his business. According to his family members, he would have turned 41 next week.
The young man served as a chief operating officer and global managing director for I-Dev International, which he himself co-founded with Patricia Chin-Sweeney. According to the information given in the company's official site, Jason Spindler had a law degree from New York University School and B.S. degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
According to her mother, Spinder had a desire to bring a difference through his work. He was giving his effort to make positive changes in the third world in emerging markets, Time noted. Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department confirmed that one American citizen died in the Nairobi terror attack, although it is yet to release the victim's name.
"We offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of this individual. Out of respect for the family of the deceased, we have no further comment," a State Department spokesperson said in an email.
