Christopher Yaluma assures Zambia to develop under Edgar Lunga’s leadership

Under the leadership of President Edgar Lungu, Zambia seems to be developing almost across all the sectors.

Christopher Yaluma, Malole Member of Parliament has said President Edgar Lungu's government is committed to developing all parts of the country. According to him, the government is aware of the many challenges facing people, especially in rural areas.

He was speaking when he addressed people during a tour of his constituency at the weekend. Yaluma, who is also Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, said Malole constituency is one of the beneficiaries of the various developmental programmes that the PF government has been implementing over the years in various sectors such as health and education.

He said this is evidenced by the construction of health facilities and schools in different areas of the constituency, as reported by Lusaka Times. He has since assured his constituents that government will also work to ensure that all the feeder roads leading to farming areas are worked on so as to allow the smooth transportation of goods and services to the market and to ease the delivery of farming inputs.

He added that the government will always strive to uplift the wellbeing of the poor and vulnerable people in society through such schemes as the fertilizer support programme and the social cash transfer.

On the other hand, the Malole lawmaker expressed hope that the numerous interventions being implemented by the government in communities will help reduce the high poverty levels, especially in rural communities. Among the places the MP visited are Chitemfuma, Mukuka Mfumu, Kasoma and Kafusha all in his constituency. During the tour, he donated assorted items which included football jerseys, footballs, pockets of cement and cash to various institutions in his constituency.
