Ghana’s €40m agreement with EU ensures job creation, more investments

Ghana has signed a €40 million facility grant with the European Union. The project is intended at promoting investments and job creation in the country. The information was recently disclosed by Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Minister of Information in Ghana's capital city, Accra.

"The financing agreement which is the last programme to be signed from Ghana's indicative allocation of 323 million Euros under the 11th European Development Fund and National Indicative Programme spans between 2014 and 2020. The Programme focuses on the areas of business climate, public financial governance and employment and its main objectives are to promote domestic and foreign investments enable businesses to spearhead economic transformation and create employment," Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said, as reported by Graphic Online.

The renowned Ghanaian economist and current Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta and European Union Ambassador to Ghana, Diana Acconcia have signed the agreement, which is likely to promote the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Ghana.
