Goa chief minister calls on PM Modi

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here Monday and discussed a host of issues related to his state.
Sawant also met Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda regarding the demand for inclusion of Goa's Gouli-Dhangar Community in the Scheduled Tribes category.
A number of BJP chief ministers have called on Modi over the last few days, including BS Yediyurappa of Karnataka, Biplab Deb of Tripura, and Jai Ram Thakur of Himachal Pradesh. On Monday, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot also met the prime minister.
Gehlot had recently quit as a Cabinet minister in the Modi government and was appointed as governor.
