Paying floral tributes to a portrait of Gandhi, Khattar said Bapu's entire life was devoted to truth, non-violence, sacrifice, love and peace. Today all his ideas need to be implemented in life.
The work done by him would always inspire the coming generations, the chief minister said.
The father of the nation believed that the greatness of humanity lies in serving society, he added.
Khattar also paid rich tributes to Shastri and said that the life of the former prime minister was based on high values and principles.
The chief minister said that Shastri, who gave the slogan 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan', was a son of the soil and the embodiment of simplicity. He would always remain a source of inspiration for the entire nation.
