Bihar's former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav has involved himself in a war of words with the state's Deputy CM, Sushil Kumar Modi. The feud over Twitter took place after the former leader shared a link on a news article by a Hindi news portal titled 'Why is the BJP so scared of Lalu?'

On November 21, Lalu Prasad Yadav's official Twitter account (which is handled by his trusted aides) tweeted out a news with the title 'Why is the BJP so scared of Lalu?' He also tweeted along with the news link that directly targeted BJP and blatantly accused the party's leaders in corruption practices and hate politics.

"Because I am not scared of the smear campaign, enticements, vindictiveness, harassments and blackmails (of the BJP). Because I am the most vocal opponent of their venomous politics based on whipping up hatred along the lines of religion and case, which cares neither for the Constitution nor for the humanity. Because I cannot compromise on principles, even if I am hanged," Lalu Yadav tweeted. The 70-year old leader is presently admitted to the RIMS hospital in Ranchi. He has been given 14 years of imprisonment in Dumka case trial.

Annoyed over Lalu's remark, Sushil Kumar Modi (who is a lifelong member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh – RSS) counterattacked saying that he (Lalu Yadav) has already been involved in a false propaganda against BJP and Sangh Parivar and is constantly giving his effort to get the votes of the minorities at any cost. "So full of greed he is that his name figures in scam after scam, from fodder to hotel," Modi added.

He further asked him over Twitter, "What principles does he talk about?" He directly accused Lalu of creating a fearful atmosphere to gain votes from the minorities. He also reminded the viewers of Lalu's multiple scams including Fodder scam and abductions and genocide took place in Bihar under his regime. Modi has also slammed him for the corruption cases filed against him.
