US looks forward to 'timely, complete' results from Pakistan election -State Dept

The United States is looking forward to "timely, complete election results" from Pakistan, reflecting the will of its people, the State Department said on Friday, after former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif claimed victory in a national vote.

"The United States is prepared to work with the next Pakistani government, regardless of political party, to advance our shared interests," it added in a statement.
