High Voter Turnout in West Bengal: Over 69% Cast Their Vote
West Bengal's nine Lok Sabha seats saw a 69.89% voter turnout by 5 pm on Saturday, according to an Election Commission official. Polling, which began at 7 am, is set to continue until 6 pm. Basirhat led with a 76.56% turnout. The turnout in Baranagar bypoll till 5 pm was 66.70%.

The nine Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal recorded a voter turnout of 69.89% by 5 pm on Saturday, as reported by an Election Commission official.
Polling began at 7 am and will proceed until 6 pm.
Basirhat led with the highest polling percentage of 76.56%, followed by Mathurapur (74.13%), Jaynagar (73.44%), and Diamond Harbour (72.87%). Barasat, Jadavpur, Dum Dum, Kolkata Dakshin, and Kolkata Uttar followed suit. In Baranagar's bypoll, the turnout stood at 66.70% until 5 pm.
The Election Commission received 2,667 complaints as of 4 pm and had deployed 967 companies of central forces and over 33,000 state police personnel for the final polling phase.
