Sikkim Chief Minister P S Tamang, leader of the SKM, secured a decisive victory in the Rhenock assembly seat by defeating SDF's Som Nath Poudyal with a margin of 7,044 votes. Tamang garnered 10,094 votes, while his closest competitor from SDF received just 3,050.

Sikkim Chief Minister and SKM leader P S Tamang triumphed in the Rhenock assembly seat, defeating SDF's Som Nath Poudyal by a remarkable margin of 7,044 votes, according to an Election Commission official on Sunday.

Tamang secured a total of 10,094 votes, significantly outpacing his nearest challenger from the Sikkim Democratic Front, who received 3,050 votes.

The counting process for the 32 assembly seats in Sikkim commenced at 6 am on Sunday under stringent security measures.
