Exit polls indicate a challenging scenario for the BJP in Rajasthan, hinting that the party might not replicate its clean sweeps of 2014 and 2019. In contrast, the Congress believes it could secure 12 to 13 seats in this crucial election.
Voting took place in two phases, on April 19 and April 26, with results set to be unveiled on Tuesday. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta has assured that the counting will occur at 29 designated centers under tight security, starting with postal ballots followed by votes from the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Top BJP leaders, including Union ministers and the Lok Sabha Speaker, are among the key candidates. The Congress, buoyed by alliances, expects significant wins in fiercely contested seats. The electoral battle has heightened political tensions, spotlighting Rajasthan's pivotal role in the national political landscape.
