Annapurna Devi's Dominance: Leading with 44,478 Votes

Union Minister Annapurna Devi is leading by 44,478 votes in the Koderma Lok Sabha seat against CPI (ML) Liberation's Vinod Kumar Singh. Devi, a four-term MLA, joined the BJP before the 2019 elections after serving as the Jharkhand president of RJD. Koderma went to polls with 15 candidates on May 20.

Union Minister Annapurna Devi is currently leading by a substantial margin of 44,478 votes in the Koderma Lok Sabha seat, challenging CPI (ML) Liberation's Vinod Kumar Singh, according to election officials.

Vinod Kumar Singh, representing Jharkhand's Bagodar, is trailing Devi, who switched to the BJP ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In that election, Devi contested the Koderma seat and defeated the former chief minister and JVM-P chief, now state BJP president, Babulal Marandi, by an impressive 4.55 lakh votes.

Previously the Jharkhand president of Lalu Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Devi transitioned into BJP with notable success. She began her political career in 1998, following her husband and RJD MLA Ramesh Yadav's death. Devi, 54, has served as a four-term MLA from Koderma, including a tenure as the water resources minister in Hemant Soren's 2013 government. With a total of 15 candidates competing, Koderma conducted its polls on May 20.
