The Delhi Police have issued a traffic advisory urging commuters to steer clear of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. This move anticipates gatherings of BJP and AAP supporters in light of the forthcoming Lok Sabha election results.
The national offices of both political entities are situated near the ITO area, prompting the advisory. 'Given the expected crowd of political party supporters at DDU Marg, traffic diversions and restrictions will be implemented at Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk (ITO Chowk) and DDU Marg. Please adhere to the advisory,' said the Delhi Traffic Police.
The advisory also mentioned the potential complete closure of DDU road for traffic, recommending alternative routes like Ranjeet Singh Marg, Minto Road, and JLN Marg. Supporters are encouraged to park their vehicles on Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Shanti Van, proceeding on foot to the party headquarters.
