Congress and BJP Neck and Neck in Telangana Lok Sabha Elections

The Congress and BJP are leading in eight seats each in the Telangana Lok Sabha elections, based on the trends at 1:30 pm. Congress is leading in Peddapalle, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Bhongir, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, and Zaheerabad, while BJP is leading in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Chevella, and Mahabubnagar.

As of 1:30 pm on Tuesday, both the ruling Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are in a tight race, each leading in eight out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. The Election Commission website shows Congress nominees ahead in Peddapalle (SC), Mahabubabad (ST), Warangal (SC), Bhongir, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool (SC), and Zaheerabad constituencies.

Meanwhile, BJP candidates are leading in Adilabad (ST), Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Chevella, and Mahabubnagar seats. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi is also maintaining a significant lead over his nearest BJP rival K Madhavi Latha, with a margin exceeding 1.89 lakh votes.

Notably, the BRS is not leading in any of the seats. Voting for the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana took place in a single phase on May 13, and the counting of votes began at 8 am today.
