Congress Candidate Sriganesh Leads in Secunderabad Cantonment Bypoll

Congress candidate Sriganesh is leading by 12,955 votes over his nearest BJP rival, Vamsha Tilak T N, in the bypoll to Secunderabad Cantonment constituency. Sriganesh secured 51,226 votes, while Vamsha Tilak received 38,271 votes. The bypoll was necessitated due to the death of BRS MLA G Lasya Nanditha.

In a closely watched contest in the Secunderabad Cantonment bypoll, Congress candidate Sriganesh has taken a significant lead. At 4.35 PM, Sriganesh was ahead by 12,955 votes over his closest competitor, BJP's Vamsha Tilak T N. The counting process revealed that Sriganesh garnered 51,226 votes against Tilak's 38,271 votes, with BRS candidate G Niveditha securing 32,784 votes. The bypoll was triggered by the untimely death of sitting BRS MLA G Lasya Nanditha in a road accident earlier this year. Niveditha, the sister of the late MLA, was also in the fray. Polling for the constituency, along with the 17 Lok Sabha seats, took place on May 13 in a single phase.
