Karnataka's Lok Sabha Results: Key Figures Emerge Victorious

Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, along with other prominent figures like H D Kumaraswamy and Radhakrishna Doddamani, has won the Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka. The BJP has notably won 15 seats and is leading in two, while the Congress has managed to win eight seats and leading in one.

Basavaraj Bommai, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, has claimed victory in the Lok Sabha polls from the Haveri constituency. Bommai triumphed over Congress' Anandswamy Gaddadevarmath by a margin of 43,513 votes, marking his debut in the national electoral arena.

Another significant win came from H D Kumaraswamy, who secured the Mandya seat with a margin of 2,84,620 votes, defeating Congress's Venkataramane Gowda, popularly known as Star Chandru. Kumaraswamy, the 64-year-old son of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, has expressed his aspiration to become the Agriculture Minister if the Modi-led government is re-elected.

Radhakrishna Doddamani, son-in-law of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, won the Gulbarga seat with a margin of 27,205 votes, defeating BJP's incumbent Umesh Jadhav. The election results also saw defeats for notable figures like D K Shivakumar’s brother, D K Suresh, and MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing serious allegations and is currently under investigation.
