Youngest and Oldest Contenders in Lok Sabha: Generation Gap in Indian Politics
Two Samajwadi Party candidates, Pushpendra Saroj and Priya Saroj, are on their way to becoming the youngest winners in the Lok Sabha polls at age 25, while DMK's T R Baalu, at 82, is likely to be the oldest. Eleven candidates above 80 and 537 between 25-30 years contested.

In a remarkable generational shift, two 25-year-old Samajwadi Party candidates, Pushpendra Saroj and Priya Saroj, are poised to become the youngest members of the Lok Sabha. Saroj, from the Kaushambi constituency, and Priya Saroj, from Machhlishahr, lead with comfortable margins.
On the other end of the age spectrum, DMK veteran T R Baalu, aged 82, is set to become the oldest member to grace the Lok Sabha. Baalu, who has already served six terms as MP, leads with a margin of 3.89 lakh votes.
This election also saw participation from eleven candidates above 80 years and 537 candidates aged between 25-30, highlighting a significant blend of youth and experience in Indian politics.
