Women Power Prevails: Congress Women Shine in Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections
In the recent Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections, seven out of 17 women candidates were victorious. Among the winners, Congress women candidates notably performed well, with Supriya Sule, Praniti Shinde, Varsha Gaikwad, and others securing seats. BJP had fielded the most women candidates but saw fewer victories.

The recent Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections turned the spotlight on women candidates, with seven emerging victorious from the 17 fielded by various political parties. The Congress party witnessed a remarkable performance, securing victories for all four of its women candidates.
Supriya Sule's triumph in Baramati was particularly notable, as she successfully defended her seat for the fourth consecutive term by defeating her sister-in-law, Sunetra Pawar. Sule's win garnered a significant margin of 1,58,333 votes, surpassing her previous record.
Despite fielding the highest number of female candidates, the BJP managed only two wins. Notable winners included Smita Wagh and Raksha Khadse. However, several BJP stalwarts, including Pankaja Munde and Bharati Pawar, faced defeats, signifying a challenging electoral battle.
