The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s perceived invincibility in Indian politics faced a stark challenge this week. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray announced on Wednesday that the Lok Sabha election results have debunked the myth that BJP is unbeatable.

Thackeray's comments came as he met with Shiv Sena (UBT) winners, including Rajabhau Prakash Waje from the Nashik seat and Sanjay Dina Patil from Mumbai North East. The meeting took place at Thackeray's residence a day after the election results were announced, symbolizing a significant political shift.

On Tuesday, Thackeray had already met with Arvind Sawant, the Mumbai South winner, and Anil Desai from Mumbai South Central. Although the BJP secured 240 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha, it fell short of an outright majority. Shiv Sena (UBT), meanwhile, claimed nine seats, signifying their rising influence and potential power in the political landscape.
