Congress Gears Up for Critical Post-Election Evaluation

Convened by party president Mallikarjun Kharge, who will also chair the session, the meeting aims to assess the electoral outcomes and strategize future moves, according to insider sources.

Scheduled for 11 am at the Congress headquarters on Saturday, the gathering is notable as the party has secured the second-largest number of seats, boosting its tally to 99 from 52 in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll. This improvement grants Congress the Leader of Opposition's position for the first time in a decade, a role it couldn't claim in 2014 and 2019 due to insufficient seats.

Prominent figures such as Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with other senior leaders, are expected to participate in these crucial deliberations.
