Shiv Sena Candidate Reflects on Defeat in Sangli

Chandrahar Patil, Shiv Sena's candidate from Sangli, shared his disappointment after losing to independent candidate Vishal Patil. Despite support from prominent party figures, Patil couldn't secure the win. Vishal Patil emerged victorious, defeating BJP's incumbent MP, while Patil came in third, losing his deposit.

Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from Sangli Lok Sabha seat Chandrahar Patil met party chief Uddhav Thackeray here on Saturday, just days after Congress rebel Vishal Patil clinched the seat as an independent.

Speaking to reporters, wrestler-turned-politician Patil expressed his disappointment, stating that Thackeray and other party leaders like Aaditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut did not campaign for him as fervently as they did for other Maha Vikas Aghadi candidates.

Patil was visibly disheartened, reflecting on his third-place finish behind Vishal Patil and BJP's incumbent MP Sanjaykaka Patil, losing his deposit in the process.
