Chandrasekhar, former Minister of State, caused a stir with a social media post hinting at his exit from public life after 18 years. The post was swiftly retracted, with Chandrasekhar later clarifying that he referred only to his completed tenure. Tharoor, who secured his Thiruvananthapuram seat, commented on the announcement via X, expressing confidence in Chandrasekhar's future contributions.

Tharoor wrote, “As someone who discussed various issues with you, there is much more you can contribute to our country through public service. Elective office is only one path.”

Chandrasekhar reassured that his dedication and work to advance India and his constituency remain unwavering.
