K Surendran, Kerala BJP president, on Monday firmly dismissed ongoing rumors regarding a potential change in the state party leadership. He labeled these reports as 'fake news,' specifically addressing claims concerning actor-politician Suresh Gopi, who recently won the Thrissur Lok Sabha seat.

Gopi, who took oath as the Minister of State in the NDA government on Sunday, allegedly expressed displeasure over not being assigned a Cabinet role. However, Surendran dismissed this as media fabrication.

Speaking from New Delhi, Surendran criticized a section of the Kerala media for spreading unfounded news against the BJP state unit. He emphasized that the party has solidified its political influence, evidenced by having two union ministers and a 20 percent vote share increase.
