Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has called on party leaders and workers to keep the pressure on the Centre to properly implement the Tiprasa accord. This directive follows the March agreement involving the Centre and state government, aimed at addressing the problems faced by Tripura's indigenous people.

In a recent Facebook post, Debbarma underscored the need for action over mere agreements. He reminded followers of historical accords, such as the 1949 merger agreement signed by Maharani Kanchan Prabha Devi and the 1988 TNV accord by Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl, stressing that proper implementation remains crucial.

Amid ongoing issues like power cuts and lack of drinking water, Debbarma emphasized the necessity of focusing on community empowerment. He urged prioritizing community welfare over political gains and called for leadership opportunities for women and youth. 'True leadership lies in serving the community's needs over individual ambitions,' he added.
