AIADMK MLAs Suspended from Assembly for Disrupting Proceedings

The AIADMK legislators, led by Opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami, faced suspension from the Assembly session on Wednesday for disrupting proceedings.

The opposition members, dressed in black shirts, attempted to bring up the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy once more, seeking an adjournment for the discussion. However, Speaker M Appavu indicated he would decide on the matter later.

Their continued protest and refusal to yield to repeated requests to return to their seats led Appavu to order their eviction. Subsequently, the House unanimously resolved to bar the AIADMK members from attending the remainder of the session until June 29.
