Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly criticized the Afghan Taliban-led government in Kabul for its failure to take action against militants along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. This comes despite repeated requests from Islamabad.

In an interview with BBC Urdu, Asif revealed that Pakistan had even offered Rs10 billion to relocate the militants to the western border, but this proposal was ignored by Kabul.

Asif's comments follow a surge in terror incidents in Pakistan, highlighted by a security report showing 1,524 fatalities from 789 attacks in 2023. The Defence Minister has dismissed any possibility of negotiations with militant groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
