The incident came to light on Saturday evening when a visitor discovered the vandalism at a religious place in the Dharmari area, leading to heightened tensions and subsequent protests.

Special Investigation Team (SIT) of police detaining over 15 suspects as part of an ongoing inquiry. In a strongly-worded statement, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla, along with party members, condemned the act, citing it as a deliberate attempt to disrupt communal harmony and urging severe punishment for those found responsible.
