Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh distributed benefits to more than 4 lakh beneficiaries through various government schemes in Imphal. Speaking to the media, Singh confirmed that each of 6,000 families received Rs 25,000, and Rs 1,000 was given to 60,000 individuals, primarily aiding those in relief camps.
On Wednesday, Singh emphasized that all relief measures in the state are conducted under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He pointed out that peace initiatives, security measures, and development projects are ongoing and aimed at resolving issues between the Kuki and Meitei communities through mediation.
Singh reiterated that the state government has adopted a resolution to expedite peace processes. Amid Rahul Gandhi’s call for PM Modi to visit Manipur, Singh noted that recent peace efforts have stabilized the region for several days.
