Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly lost only 2 kg in prison, Tihar jail authorities disclosed on Monday, refuting claims by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that his health is deteriorating. The authorities stress that his health is under constant supervision by a medical board from AIIMS.
Senior AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi countered in a press conference, accusing the BJP of attempting to cause permanent physical damage to Kejriwal. She stated that his blood sugar dropped to dangerously low levels multiple times, raising risks of coma or death.
The BJP, however, accused AAP of leveraging medical concerns to gain bail favors whenever a court hearing approaches. This contentious issue further highlights the ongoing political battle between AAP and BJP over Kejriwal's imprisonment.
