Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi on Wednesday criticized the exclusion of a rival Shiv Sena minister from the newly reconstituted NITI Aayog. She pointedly referred to the omission as a result of 'immoral power grab' politics.
On Tuesday, the Narendra Modi-led NDA government officially reconstituted the NITI Aayog, featuring four full-time members and 15 union ministers, including those from BJP allies, as ex-officio members or special invitees. However, Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav, who is also MoS in the Health Ministry, did not find a place in the reconstituted body.
Jadhav, aligned with the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde—an ally of the BJP—was notably absent. The Sena (UBT) has frequently criticized the Shiv Sena faction under Shinde for 'betraying' Uddhav Thackeray.
