US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, as announced during the UnidosUS annual conference broadcast on the White House's YouTube channel.
Biden was initially scheduled to address the event in Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon, aiming to rally Hispanic voters before the November election. UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía informed attendees that Biden, regrettably, could not attend due to his positive test result.
Before the planned speech, Biden had been at the Original Lindo Michoacan restaurant in Las Vegas, greeting diners and preparing for an interview with Univision.
