Israeli Army Strikes Houthi Targets in Yemen
The Israeli army carried out airstrikes on several Houthi targets in western Yemen's Hodeidah after a fatal drone attack by the rebel group in Tel Aviv. Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam denounced the attack on social media, claiming it aimed to increase Yemeni suffering and pressure Yemen to stop supporting Gaza.
The Israeli army launched airstrikes on multiple Houthi targets in western Yemen's strategic port city of Hodeidah on Saturday. This action follows a fatal drone attack by the Yemeni rebel group in Tel Aviv the previous day.
According to the Israeli military, the strikes hit several “military targets” in Hodeidah in response to what it described as “hundreds of attacks” against Israel by the Houthi in recent months.
Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam condemned the Israeli strikes on social media platform X, labeling them as nothing short of “blatant Israeli aggression.” He asserted that these attacks were designed to exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people and to coerce Yemen into halting its support for Gaza. Abdulsalam vowed that such actions would only fortify Yemeni resolve to stand with Gaza.
