As the Maharashtra assembly polls loom in October, BJP and Congress have both announced their dedicated media teams to engage with the public and press.
The BJP, a part of the ruling alliance, disclosed a roster of over 30 leaders slated to communicate twice daily with the media. The list features recent inductees Ashok Chavan, lawyer Ujjwal Nikam, and newly elected MLC Pankaja Munde, coordinated by state BJP media coordinator Navnath Ban.
Conversely, the Congress has appointed 15 leaders to debunk what it describes as 'fake narratives' propagated by BJP's IT Cell. A team coordinated under Maharashtra in-charge Ramesh Chennithala will orchestrate media interactions to present the Congress's positions.
