Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes Union Budget

Samajwadi Party president, Akhilesh Yadav, criticized the Union Budget for neglecting the interests of youth and farmers, particularly in Uttar Pradesh. He condemned the focus on Bihar and Andhra Pradesh for political reasons and questioned the lack of substantial provisions for his state, claiming it was a disappointing budget overall.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday criticized the Union Budget, stating that it has neglected the interests of youth and farmers.

Speaking to reporters after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament, Yadav accused the government of prioritizing political gains in Bihar and Andhra Pradesh over genuine development. He questioned the absence of significant measures for Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state.

Highlighting the crucial support from allies like Andhra's TDP and Bihar's JD(U), Yadav emphasized that Uttar Pradesh, despite contributing the Prime Minister, has received little benefit. He criticized the lack of mandi facilities for farmers and the exclusion of the Purvanchal Expressway from highway plans.

Yadav dismissed the internship announcement for youth, calling for permanent employment solutions. Similar sentiments were echoed by SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav, who lamented the omission of Uttar Pradesh in the budget speech and criticized the minimal allocation for agriculture and rural development.
