The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), a crucial partner in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), lauded the Union Budget as one of the best for the country. TDP MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu highlighted the budget's futuristic approach, emphasizing its essential role in rebuilding Andhra Pradesh, a state in dire need of development after past governance issues.
Naidu noted that the budget focuses on four primary sectors: poor and weaker sections of society, agriculture and farmers, women, and youth. He underscored the importance of employment generation, skilling, and boosting the manufacturing sector, calling it one of the best budgets ever. According to Naidu, the budget lays a foundation for not just the next few months but for the upcoming five to ten years.
Naidu expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for prioritizing Andhra Pradesh's development, emphasizing that this move was about necessity, not politics. He criticized the previous state's administration under Jagan Mohan Reddy for destroying key projects like the Amaravati capital idea and the Polavaram project. The NDA government's wholehearted support, including a financial package of Rs 15,000 crore, aims to rebuild Andhra Pradesh's infrastructure.
