Brazil and the United States are set to unveil a joint climate transition initiative, according to Brazilian Finance Minister Fernando Haddad. He assured that a potential change in the U.S. administration would not jeopardize the partnership with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

Speaking at the sidelines of a G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Haddad expressed confidence that a potential new U.S. administration would not interfere with the relationship being cultivated between Brazil and the United States.

"I don't see how a government alternation could put this partnership being built with Secretary Yellen at risk," Haddad stated.
