Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will not attend the NITI Aayog meeting in Delhi on July 27 as a protest against the Centre's alleged neglect of the state's rights and unpaid funds, according to official sources on Friday.

During a debate on a resolution in the Legislative Assembly on July 24, Reddy stated that the boycott was in response to the central government's alleged discrimination towards Telangana in the Union Budget. The resolution passed after a full-day discussion claims the Centre has failed to release funds and permissions due to Telangana.

The state government hopes Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address these issues during the ongoing Parliament session and amend the budget. Key demands include the establishment of a steel and railway coach factory, revival of the IT Investment Region, completion of the NTPC power plant, and initiation of a tribal university. The resolution accuses the Centre of forsaking the federal spirit and emphasizes the need for balanced development across states.
