The RJD in Bihar criticized the NDA government on Saturday for expelling party leader Sunil Kumar Singh from the Legislative Council, calling the move undemocratic and indicative of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's arrogance.

Sunil Kumar Singh, closely associated with RJD president Lalu Prasad and his family, was expelled on Friday after the Ethics Committee submitted its report to acting chairman Awadhesh Narain Singh. The motion passed by voice vote followed allegations of Singh's unruly behavior, including mimicking the Chief Minister.

RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav accused Nitish Kumar of orchestrating Singh's expulsion to intimidate the Rajput community, to which Singh belongs. Yadav questioned why similar actions weren't taken against the Chief Minister, who has allegedly insulted women in the assembly multiple times. CPI(ML) Liberation's MLC Shashi Yadav echoed these sentiments, asserting that the Chief Minister's policies remain harmful to women.
